The Pushkin Legacy has always believed in the power of cultural exchange to build bridges, foster understanding, and uplift communities. As we usher in 2025, we’re thrilled to announce our recent donations, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our organization.
The Pushkin Legacy’s journey is rooted in the legacy of the late Admiral Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, namesake of the poet, a distinguished Russian statesman and a respected philanthropist. His passion for fostering cultural exchange inspired Kenneth Pushkin, the founder of the Pushkin Legacy, to continue the Admiral's work after his passing. Since its inception, the Pushkin Legacy has supported projects that bridge cultures and serve communities, from orphanages in Russia to diplomatic events in Washington, DC.
Now, after several years of dormancy due to the shifting geopolitical landscape, the Pushkin Legacy is back and more committed than ever to fulfilling its mission. With a renewed focus on supporting important local projects such as OffCenter Arts and Keshet Center for the Arts, as well as broader scope projects including Fundación Onuart, we are making a tangible impact across the U.S. and into the realm of international cultural exchange and soft diplomacy.
The donations from Pushkin Legacy to its grantees is not just about a financial contribution; They are partnerships that reflect our mission to support these wonderful projects on a human scale.
As we look to the future, the Pushkin Legacy is focused on continuing to expand its reach in support of cultural initiatives, particularly in light of recent drastic cuts in governmental grants vital to a range of cultural organizations.
We invite you to join us in this exciting new phase of the Pushkin Legacy’s journey. Whether through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word about our work, your support will help us create a lasting legacy of cultural exchange and community empowerment.
