The Pushkin Legacy stands as a cultural torchbearer, illuminating the timeless wisdom of Alexander Pushkin to inspire dialogue, scholarship, and unity.
We support bold thinkers, artists, and scholars by providing the resources and recognition they need to shape a more connected and humanistic world. In honoring Pushkin’s vision, we strive to enhance communities and cross boundaries—between nations, between generations—bridging the past with the promise of a more enlightened future.
Founded in 1997 in the United States as Pushkin Legacy, the Pushkin Fund emerged as a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to preserving the literary and cultural heritage of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. Shortly after, in 2000, the Russian branch, the International Pushkin Charity Fund, was officially registered, established with the endorsement of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Embassy of the United States in Moscow.
For over a decade, the Pushking Legacy served as the only bilateral charitable organization of its kind, facilitating cultural restoration projects, translations of Pushkin’s work, diplomatic gatherings, and charitable galas that bridged East and West through a shared literary legacy.
Following the shifting political landscape of 2014, the Pushkin Legacy realigned its efforts toward community engagement as well as broader diplomatic and human rights work. In 2015, Kenneth Pushkin was appointed as the High Representative to the United States for the Fundación Onuart, allowing the Pushkin Legacy to continue its contribution to the realm of international cultural diplomacy.
In a world increasingly divided by conflict, the Pushkin Legacy remains steadfast in its commitment to the ideals of dialogue, cultural exchange, and shared humanity.
While political tensions between Russia and the West persist, history reminds us that reconciliation is always possible—and urgently needed. It is with this hope for a renewed future that the Pushkin Legacy offers itself as a discreet platform for the restoration of diplomatic communication and cultural understanding.
Inspired by the life and legacy of Alexander Pushkin—a figure beloved across generations and nations—the Pushkin Legacy seeks to once again serve as a bridge: between peoples, between cultures, and between the past and the possibilities ahead.
Overtures have already begun. Guided by Pushkin’s enduring spirit, we stand ready to contribute to a new era of mutual respect, trust, and artistic flourishing.
